Healthy Fall Soups

Now that fall is here it’s time to break out the season soup recipes.

Jennifer from Savoring the Thyme shares with us an array of recipes for healthy fall soups.  Her focus on seasonal veggies will leave you drooling in the kitchen.

Autumn is here and before you know it we will be cuddling with our loved ones in front of the fire and donning fuzzy slippers. But in order for me to get you all warm and fuzzy, I need to warm your insides and your soul.

The comfort food that pops into my mind when I think fall and warmth is soup. Whether you want a quick and easy soup or one that requires some time stirring all the goodness to perfection, this list of my top 5 soups should make you happy.

1. Cabbage Split Pea Soup
This cabbage split pea soup is so good that my 5 year old is obsessed and it made me adore cabbage.

2. Chicken Noodle Soup
This chicken noodle soup turned my son into an official ‘soup monkey’, and it’s a classic that will make your leftovers so much fun, you will raid your fridge every Friday.

3. Chicken Enchilada Soup
Need I say more? Nope. Another classic from your leftovers, and sometimes it makes you want to cook chicken just so you can make the soup from the leftovers.

4. Curried Chickpea Stew
This soup literally won an award.
The curried chickpea stew and the mushroom soup may not be ones you have tried before but I urge you to do so. In fact, I am sending you to the grocery store right now. Grab your keys and wallet run to get the ingredients.

5. Earthy Mushroom Soup
If you want a smoother consistency, simply use a blender or immersion blender to puree it.
