Janis Saffell is the creator of the No.1 selling workout system in the United States and has over 20 years experience in the fitness and health industry. Over the years she has appeared on TV, starred in exercise videos and contributed to countless leading fitness publications. Her personal experience in this field has meant that she has tried and tested numerous sports apparel brands. However, she often found that whatever she wore lacked something: in style, fit, color, comfort or freedom of movement.
Janis spent five years creating her own workout looks from fitness-wear which she sourced from across the globe. Adapting and combining different pieces, her unique look caught the attention of her fans. Soon, she was inundated was messages from clients who asked "Where can I buy the outfit you wore?" With a background of studies in Fashion Merchandising and Design at Midway College in Kentucky, Janis was able to combine her two passions: fitness and fashion. Her first creations for Couture Active Wear were baby tee's and sweatshirts. Kickboxing pants followed, and Janis' designs quickly became a hit.
